I just wanted to let you know what a great job Russ and the crew did on two cold days in December. When the lift to the chimney started (it was leaning out about 9 inches), it was being held by the roof sheathing. After cleaning out the debris left by squirrels, Russ climbed up on the second story roof and cut back the plywood that had stopped the chimney. This was clearly above and beyond the call and resulted in the chimney rotating back into plumb. I just wanted to say “thank you” for the professional way the crew worked and for the experience that Russ brought to a tricky problem. Thanks again.

Hargrave was excellent! Our structural engineer thought that the house might need as many as 23 piers inside and outside the house. Dan Hargrave came out to bid the job when he said he would and was great to deal with. We scheduled the crew to come out and do the work based on the engineer’s plans. Russ Hargrave and the crew came out when scheduled. As the crew excavated outside the house, they noticed that there were already some existing piers on the house and stopped work. Russ informed me of the situation, and felt we might not need to install all of the exterior piers called for. So we had the engineer come back out and look at the existing piers. The engineer agreed that we wouldn’t need as many piers as he had originally planned and signed off on the changes which reduced the cost of the job by more than 50%. Hargrave could have easily not pointed out the existence of the existing piers to us and done the full job, with us none the wiser. They were incredibly honest, knowledgeable and friendly to work with. I would recommend them to anyone having work done on their foundation.
